About Me

Joe Majcherek has been a yacht broker in South Florida for more than 20 years with wide scope of boat knowledge and long list of past sales and satisfied clients.
 
He was raised in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and a love for boats was soon to follow. Boating has been a part of life since his early years and that passion for the water still is a driving force in his work today.
 
Starting his boat sales career at the Lauderdale Yacht Basin, after a couple of years he was invited to join Gilman Yacht Sales from Palm Beach to start a satellite office at the Sailfish Marina on Singer Island.
 
Sportfishing boats and more specifically custom built boats were a focus at the time , but Joe quickly diversified to become an active motor-yacht, trawler, and express cruiser proficient salesman. Gilman Yachts later moved from Palm Beach Island to a new base at Old Port Cove in North Palm Beach and while there Joe became one of the company's top brokers. He developed a reputation of integrity and honest dealing with clients as well as with fellow brokers in the industry. Thoroughly written & well presented listing specs, cooperative co-brokerage networking, and good follow-up practices are some of the trademark qualities that Joe's clients benefit from. As a result, the majority of his business is from repeat clients, referrals and those that have heard about the level of service and results he offers. Joe regularly assists clients with coordinating insurance, dockage, maintenance & mechanical services, detailing and sale preparation as well as crew staffing.
 
In the year of 2000, Joe combined forces with long-time Ft Lauderdale broker, Jeff Stanley to start the office for Gilman Yacht of Ft. Lauderdale. This has evolved into a partnership. Now firmly anchored on SE 17th Street their modern offices are base for 9 experienced brokers and a seasoned support crew.
 
Joe lives in Delray Beach, FL with his wife and teenage son. He’s an avid sportsman and is frequently found around Sportfishing events or diving destinations.
